About Edward

Edward Griffin is a native of Chicago, IL. and is the ultimate entrepreneur, with a tremendous amount of drive to succeed. Edward has always thought about the bigger picture which has led him to a career and life dedicated to helping create opportunities for others and giving back to his community. Using his passion for entertainment, in 2006 Edward created Hip Hop U-C-IT, which started out and (still is) one of the largest online/print Hip Hop & Entertainment Magazines in the Country but has evolved into so much more. This launch created jobs for young people who aspire to work in the field of Hip Hop & Entertainment. In the near 11 years of existence, his organization Hip Hop U-C-IT, LLC. has donated over $47,000 to various non-profit organizations.

In 2009, wanting to make an impact on an important health crisis in the black community, his powerful vision led him to develop the R.A.P on AIDS campaign. A social marketing campaign that aims to reduce knowledge-behavior gaps concerning the risks of HIV/AIDS/STDs, Edward partnered with Essence Award Winning AIDS Activist Hydeia Broadbent and various organizations.

As a member of the prestigious Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Edward has worked in the entertainment industry for over seventeen years with positions in Marketing, Branding, and Promotions for iHeartRadio/Media while helping V100.7 develop into a powerhouse radio station, which was named Billboard’s Urban Radio Station of the Year. Edward has also handled marketing and promotions for The Source Magazine in the Chicago and Milwaukee market. With his experience, he has become one of finest minds in marketing and branding in the entertainment business. With each endeavor, the talented entrepreneur has taken the opportunity to further build a lasting brand and legacy that pays homage to the media moguls and community leaders that have come before him.

As a consultant for aspiring Entrepreneurs, Edward continues to expand his own portfolio E. Griffin Enterprises – managing and building the brand for successful Singer/Songwriter/Dancer AshleYYY, and rising star AIYANA. Edward has since started his own sneaker company Culture to benefit various causes, rebranding his fashion line Heavy, completing his first feature film and book Dear President Obama…. Edward also launched Let Me Wait, the premiere and only line sitting company in Atlanta. With so many more business ventures to name under his belt and the recipient of many Entrepreneurship Awards, Edward is always looking ahead to the next thing.
